About Mr John Tours
Mr John Tours was founded in 1998 by John, a Melbourne native with a passion for sharing his city and Victoria's attractions with the world. Beginning his career in 1990 as a Japanese-speaking driver guide, John gained invaluable experience working with Japanese tourists. His desire to offer a more comprehensive and personalized tour experience led him to establish his own company.
With nearly three decades of expertise, John and his dedicated team strive to create enjoyable and memorable tours for both domestic and international visitors. John's interests include exploring Australia, studying Japanese language and culture, cycling, and kayaking. As a cultural ambassador, he is committed to fostering connections between Australia, Japan, and other countries.

John also serves on the Victoria Tourism Association (VTIC) committee and is a certified tour operator by Eco Tourism Australia, demonstrating his commitment to sustainable tourism. Through his collaboration with GreenFleet, he actively works to reduce CO2 emissions. As a Red Cross volunteer, John upholds the principle of 'One world, One humanity!' His appearances on Japanese TV programs like 'Kazoku ni Kampai,' 'Sekai no Fushigi Hakken,' and 'Pittanko Kan Kan!' highlight his role as a cultural bridge between Australia and Japan and the rest of the world.
Mr John Tours is very much a family business, with John's wife Yoko and sons Joe and Michael taking on significant roles within the company. Their combined efforts ensure a warm, personalized, and culturally rich experience for all clients.
